Aim: This study aims to perform a detailed analysis of the morphometric anatomical measurements of the humerus to make clinically successful and accurate evaluations.
Material and Method: A total of 42 dry bone humerus, 23 left and 19 right, were included in the study. Measurement parameters: Humerus length (LH), surgical neck circumference (CSN), sulcus intertubercularis width (WIS), sulcus intertubercularis depth (DIS), epicondylar width (WE), trochlea humeri width (WTH), fossa olecranii width (WOF), fossa olecranii depth (DOF), transverse diameter of the humeral head (TDH), vertical diameter of the humeral head (VDH), minimum corpus diameter (MinDS), maximum corpus diameter (MaxDS), capitulum humeri width (WS), capitulum humeri length (LC), trochlea humeri length (LTH), coronoideal arch height (HCA), coronoideal arch width (WCA), fossa olecranii height (HOF), humeral retroversion angle (RAH) were determined.
Results: According to the study results, mean and standard deviation values, LH; 300, CSN; 72±8.7, WIS; 8.2±1.6, DIS; 5.7±0.9, WE; 59, WTH; 15.6±4.4, WOF; 22.7±2.2, DOF; 13.4±2.1, TDH; 42.5±2.8, VDH; 44.8±3.5, MinDS; 18.7±1.8, MaxDS ; 21.8±2.1, WS; 16.2±4.1, LC; 20.6±1.7, LTH; 20.7±4.4, HCA; 6.3, WCA; 11, HOF; 13,4±2.2, RAH; 28.2.
Conclusion: It is very important to calculate the average values of the anatomical structures in this bone to know the humerus bone's normal anatomical structure and to guide the surgical procedures and prosthesis applications in this region. The detailed data obtained as a result of the study support the literature findings. The results of the study will make a qualified contribution to forensic and anthropological research on the humerus.
